Video projects can vary massively, so these are some of the most common questions before we start planning a shoot.
How much does professional video cost?
Videography starts from £125 per hour, with half-day filming from £450 and full-day filming from £800. Post-production is quoted around the finished film and the deliverables required.
Is video editing included?
Video editing is quoted separately because every project can involve a very different amount of post-production. Film length, audio, music, graphics, colour work, social versions and revisions all affect the final editing requirement.
Can you create vertical video for social media?
Yes. Content can be planned and delivered for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and other vertical platforms, either as the main deliverable or alongside a landscape film.
Can photography and video be captured on the same shoot?
Yes, where the brief allows. Combining photography and video can be an efficient way to build a wider library of marketing content from one project.
Do you offer standalone drone photography and video?
Yes. Standalone drone projects start from £150, with the final cost depending on location, flight requirements, capture time and the final imagery or video required.
Are you insured for commercial drone work?
Yes. Visual Elevation operates as a CAA-registered drone operator with £5 million public liability insurance, including commercial work.
Can a drone be flown anywhere?
No. Drone flights depend on airspace, location, nearby people and property, weather and other operational restrictions. Every flight is assessed beforehand and only carried out where it can be done legally and safely.
Do you travel for video projects?
Yes. I am based in Leicestershire and regularly work across the Midlands, with UK-wide travel available for larger commercial, property and event projects.
How long does video production take?
Turnaround depends on the scale of the project and the amount of post-production involved. Straightforward content can be delivered relatively quickly, while larger promotional films and campaigns naturally require more editing time. Timescales are agreed before the project begins.
