Twilight Property Photography for a New Development in Melton Mowbray
This shoot was for a new housing development in Melton Mowbray, with the aim of creating a stronger set of marketing images that showed the properties at their best.
Twilight photography worked particularly well for this project because it gave the development a completely different feel compared with standard daytime listing photos. The warmer light from inside the homes, combined with the evening sky, helped the properties feel more finished, more inviting and more premium.
The brief
The goal was simple: create a set of images and video content that would help the development stand out across property listings, social media and wider marketing.
For this type of job, I’m not just looking at getting a technically clean image. I’m looking at which angles make the property feel strongest, how the light is falling, what needs to be included in the frame and how the finished image is likely to be used.
The shoot
The timing is a big part of any twilight shoot. There is only a fairly short window where the balance between the remaining daylight and the lights inside the property really works.
I photographed the development through that period, focusing on the strongest exterior angles and making sure the lighting, sky and overall atmosphere all felt natural.
Alongside the photography, video content was also created to give the development another way to be presented online.
The result
The finished images gave Hortons a much stronger set of visuals to use across the development’s marketing.
After the photos and videos were shared, the client told me they had seen a noticeable increase in interest in the homes.
